I've been carrying a camera and taking pictures for more than 50 years, mostly as a hobby or as a personal witness to events. Along the way I've also been a peace activist, political staffer, an award-winning investigative reporter, and a public interest lobbyist, among other things.
And I've been blogging since 1999 on my daily blog, www.iLind.net, which features commentary on Hawaii politics and media, along with a variety of photographs, old and new.
This new photo blog is a way to organize some of what's come before, and to share ideas and observations about cameras and photo equipment that I'm using or hope to use.
I currently am using four cameras, including a Canon XT and XTi DSLR, Panasonic Lumix LX1 compact, and a new Canon G9, all of which have their own pros and cons, which hopefully I'll have a chance to explore here as time goes on.
